Keep to the middle.

As we attempted to leave my fishing hole this morning everything ground to a halt. A quick dive down the weed hatch revealed enough blanket weed round the prop to start a spirogyra farm. Luckily the water is relatively warm so the ten minutes spent clearing it wasn't too unpleasant. We tried again and only collected enough to slow us down, luckily a quick burst of back'ards cleared it. Lesson learned,

do not venture near the banks.

Addendum to yesterdays post:

I went back out with the trusty cane fishing rod after dinner, result? A rudd of 1lb 5ozs. and a tench that weighed in at 5lb 1oz. Personal bests of both species.
