We have hoisted the yellow jack.

Any boats passing us at Coole Pilate beware. We are flying the yellow jack. We have a bad case of that most terrible of winter diseases, MAN 'FLU, on board.
It didn't stop me enjoying the rugby yesterday but I had a relapse as soon as the final whistle went.
The worst thing is that I have lost my voice, how can I shout for another cuppa with a throat like sandpaper?
I will survive though.

Watch this space.........

Oh no! Man flu! What a tragedy.
Jill, I think, while Graham has no voice, you could cure the man flu easily - tip him overboard immediately under cover of darkness. Do it now, quick, no time to waste. Remember to keep the yellow flag flying for a bit tho so suspicion isn't aroused ...
Second thoughts - first check for true man flu. The genuine article means the sufferer is off his food, cannot be made to take interest in rugby, football or marital frolics. If all of those symptoms exist, then tip him overboard. If they do not, then douse him with cold water in his sickbed to inspire him to get out doing locks immediately. Remember, fresh is the best remedy.

Thank you for letting us know - we gave you a wide berth when we passed you at Coole Pilate and again at Nantwich on our way back (We made a cheeky detour to Audlem for the weekend to watch the rugby ). Hope you're feeling better soon. NB Beefur.
