nb Armadillo, the start.

Having created a blog I guess I had better justify such a step. About three years ago we both took early retirement, sold our house in Plymouth and had narrowboat Armadillo built, she has been home for the last two and a half years.
The boat was built in Thorne, S. Yorks. and in the spring of 2007 we left Thorne and set out up the Aire & Calder, Calder & Hebble and then over the Rochdale in company with narrowboat Theathenia. Since then we have travelled fairly widely on the canal system, spending last summer, or was it the rainy season, on the Kennet & Avon.
So far this year, after wintering on the Ashby and environs, we have been toLlangollen, down the Montgomery up and down the Shroppie and are now on the B.C.N. at the Black Country Museum.
