Hemingford via Huntingdon.

On Sunday we had planned to move on as far as Godmanchester where there are some very nice moorings just above the lock. We had seriously miscalculated, it was a fine Sunday and every little cruiser was out for the obligatory trip and the moorings were crammed so we pressed on to Huntingdon.

Managed to find a spot just downstream of the bridge and opposite this converted mill. It was a bit noisy from the traffic on the bridge but as urban moorings go, not bad.

Monday we took a wander up into the town, all the usual facilities. Treated ourselves to a new duvet, £6 from Wilkos'. 4.5 tog? It's a lightweight summer one. Can also recommend the Samuel Pepys, five minutes up the High Street from the moorings. The Timothy Taylor Landlord was excellent.

Short hop today, just down as far as Hemingford, not sure if it's Grey or Abbots. Smashing mooring here.

I f Craig from Huntingdon reads this, hope all goes well with the flat.

Watch this space.........
