Forty five years on, who would ever have believed it.

Today is our 45th. wedding anniversary, May the 10th. 1969 at St. Mary's Church, Addiscombe, Jill and I were married. It was blowing a hoolie and chucking it down, just like today. There were those who said it wouldn't last, they just didn't appreciate what a bloody minded pair we are. I still love her as much now as I did then.
Today we are moored at Wadenhoe and tonight we are off to The Kings Head for a slap up celebratory meal. So no more words, just some pictures of the village, they don't come more English than this.

On our way we saw an otter as it swam across the river in front of us and then this other odd swimming creature. You rarely see one of these swimming in the B.C.N.

Round the south door of the church we were delighted to find some rather old graffiti.

Also several mass dials, these were primitive sundials scratched into the south wall of the church, you shoved a stick into the central hole and then you had no excuse for being late for mass, presumably they will be pre-reformation.

And that's it for the 10th. May 2014.
Time for my afternoon nap.
