A sad day today, Marmite, our old and disreputable Staffie, had to be put to sleep. She never appeared all that often in the blog because, to be honest, she never really did a lot. Her idea of the perfect day was eat and sleep, walking was a necessity but the idea of exercise was anathema to her unless children were involved, she loved people but her real affection was reserved for children with whom she was the gentlest creature.
So farewell old girl, you will be missed, especially by all the children who knew and loved you.

Oh I so sorry, that is the hardest day for anybody. I am thinking of you. xx
Sorry to hear your news on Marmite.
Such a lovely picture of her. A sad day for all of you, just wanted to send our best wishes to you at this difficult time. Doug and James
Another sad day in the grand scheme of things.
A loved/loving pet is a member of the family and just as hard to lose.
Thinking of you,
Chris & Debbie.
so sorry to hear about Marmite,
best wishes to you both

Sad news indeed, so sorry to hear of your loss.
Debbie.
My heart goes out to you - it's so hard to say goodbye and they leave such a big gap....

Deepest sympathy Graham, I'm sure you'll remember that a drop of pussers rum always helps when a shipmate has crossed the bar. Probably not a good idea to auction off all her kit though!
Chris
Thank you all for your kind thoughts, the boat seems very quiet without her snoring in the corner by the stove. But life goes on and when the pain has gone the memories remain.
Graham & Jill.
You're right Chris, we toasted her a safe trip to fiddlers Green.
Thinking of you guys. It's a sad day isn't it.
